Bumblebee Cherry Tomato - Pink - (1 Plant)

The Bumblebee series tomatoes are by far my favorite heirloom cherries in the garden. Plants produce bountiful clusters of sweet 1-inch fruit so shiny and almost glassy that they look like large marbles. The Pink Bumblebee ripens to a bright red-pink striped with streaks of gold. Fruit is also thick-skinned and offers a good "crunch" when eating - this is a particularly good option for those who don't like the texture of that "pop" from your typical cherry tomato.
Plants are quite rugged and bushy so they're extremely forgiving of poor trellising and pruning habits. This cherry also bears fruit later in the season than most others I've encountered although as the nights get cooler and days get shorter the fruit isn't always as sweet or quick to ripen as it is in peak Summer. Check out the Purple Bumblebee and Sunrise Bumblebee that I also offer.
Harvest: 55-65 Days
Sun: Full Sun
Pairs Well With:
Eggplants – Tomatoes and eggplants demand similar growing conditions making them quite a strong pairing
Basil Varieties – strong scent helps repel some of tomatoes’ pests, and c’mon what’s tomatoes without basil!
Marigolds – quite a good repellent for some of the pests that plague tomatoes
Beans, peas – Tomatoes are heavy feeders and pairing with legume varieties that enrich the soil will do them well
Cucumbers – Large leaf plants will help shade the ground around taller tomato plants, helping the ground retain water for the plant easier
